What filtration should it have?
Enough for what the space needs.
Outside air carries dust, pollen and insects.
A coarse pre-filter protects the fan.
Finer media suits process or food areas.
Higher grades cost fan energy continuously.
Match filtration to the requirement, not the maximum.
How is it controlled?
Interlocked with the exhaust it replaces.
Running exhaust alone defeats both systems.
Outside temperature lockout handles winter.
Variable speed matches partial exhaust operation.
Filter pressure monitoring is worth having.
