What makes it different from a plain mirror?

When does the supply have to be decided?

How do zones and IP ratings relate?

Zones are set by proximity to water.
Each permits a minimum ingress rating.
Establish the zone of the position.
Then choose a fitting rated for it.
Is above a basin the same as in a shower?
No, they are different zones.
A rating adequate for one.
May not be adequate for the other.
The position decides, not the product.
Check it rather than assuming.
Which part fails first?
The driver, well before the LEDs.
It converts mains to their supply.
And has a much shorter life.
Often concealed behind the mirror.
Or sealed into the housing.
Is demisting part of the lighting?
No, it is a separate function.
A heated pad behind the glass.
Holding it above dew point.
With its own load and switching.
Bundled together, but not the same thing.
