Passively, in proportion to flow.
Water passing the media dissolves a little.
So more flow means more dose.
Which is what protection needs.
No pump or control is involved.

There is nothing to see or taste.
So the interval is the only guide.
Where does it work best?
Protecting one valuable appliance.
A combi boiler or water heater.

Protects an expensive heat exchanger cheaply.
Is it suitable for a whole building?
Usually not the right tool.
The dose and the duty do not scale well.
A softener or conditioning system fits better.
Use this at the appliance.
Not at the incoming main.
