Rather than the layout dictating it.
Noggins can be added between joists.
But that is first-fix carpentry.
What if the wall behind is a stud?
It offers nothing useful.
Nor does a shaft wall.
That case needs a freestanding frame.
Braced to the floor alone.
And rated for that condition.
When are resin anchors worth it?
In the difficult substrates.
Hollow blockwork and older masonry.
Or positions close to an edge.
They do not rely on expansion force.
Which those materials cannot resist.
What should be checked before ordering?
Both load paths, separately.
What the floor is, and what the wall is.
They are two questions, not one.
Finding a problem now is cheap.
Finding it with the frame standing is not.
