How is condensate handled?

Gravity drainage from floor level rarely exists.
The pump becomes a maintenance item.

A failed pump shows as water on the floor.
That is at least visible immediately.
Is servicing easier?
Considerably, and it is underrated.
Everything is reachable from the floor.
No access equipment or ceiling hatch is needed.
Filter cleaning actually happens as a result.
Replacement at end of life is simpler too.
That matters over a twenty year life.
What about the outdoor unit?
It is required exactly as for any split system.
Pipe route from floor level still needs planning.
Heritage buildings often restrict external plant.
Screening or siting may be conditioned.
Establish that before selecting indoor equipment.
