Is usually a hinge, not a seat.
And costs a fraction to put right.
Does that include soft-close?
Yes, and it is worth knowing.

So a hinge kit often restores soft-close.
Without replacing the seat at all.

What does quick-release add?

Are fixing centres standard?
No, and neither is the hole diameter.
